Alan's grandfather was a street preacher with a powerful and passionate message about Armageddon, the end of time and the Second Coming of Messiah. Although he died when Alan was only nine years old, he left an indelible impression -- knowing the love his grandfather had for God's Word initiated Horvath's personal search from a very early point in his life ... a personal search that continues to grow and mature.
Horvath has penned songs that directly speak of his love for spiritual matters ever since he began composing ... he has studied many religions and theologies over the years and has spent time in seminary. His passion for the Holy Scriptures has been a steady source of inspiration and study ever since he was old enough to read ... but this is the CD that more specifically reveals his faith.
"I've always been and will ever be on a vigilant search for Truth -- this fact sits at the very core of my nature and personality. My Dad told me very early on, that there were as many theories out there as there were human beings, and that I had best dig in and make my own conclusions about it all, because that is the real point to begin with ... and no words have ever made more sense to me.
I've never been more in love with the Word of Yahweh ... the message that's presented in the New Testament and foreshadowed in the Old Testament ... the prophesies about the Second Coming of the Messiah; the books of Daniel, Isaiah, Zechariah and Revelation. The significance of where we sit today, historically and prophetically, is an ever-present concern of mine. Every song I've ever written reveals these convictions in one way or another ... but here, on this CD, are the more direct statements I'm making about my personal relationship with my Father in Heaven."
