Background:

Michele's Kitchen was the setting for a rehearsal session one very hot and humid Autumn evening in 1994, at Michele's house in Flemington, New Jersey; Michele is Alan's daughter.   The cover photo was taken at a park upstate New York, when Michele was only 8 years old ... the inside-photo was taken 10 years later at Michele's High School graduation party.   This is a remastered digital copy of an old cassette tape that was recorded live, featuring Michele's boyfriend, Chris Ingram, on fretless, acoustic bass guitar ... except for Sweet Michele (the last song) which was written and recorded ten years earlier in Westwood, New Jersey.

"You can hear Michele, Chris and I talking and goofing around in between and during the recordings ... Chris Ingram really rocks out and we had a fun evening!   Closing this project with Sweet Michele seemed to create a full-circle effect for me ... songs are like pages in a diary ... CDs are like chapters ... and this is one chapter about my 'precious little girl' Michele ... an arrow I lost in the sky."

Michele: 1984 / 1994

"Aside from making you wonder how many sets of guitar strings this guy goes through every show or if his arm ever gets too tired to play, Alan Horvath ... will make you want to listen ... intently."
