If you haven't read it yet, you may want to take a look at my essay:
Which Bible Version Is Best?

The Authorized King James Version of the Bible is beyond question the most accurate English translation of the Holy Scriptures available today ... however, it does contain errors of it's own and I find the Olde English very difficult to assimilate.   Therefore, my favorite version of the Bible is the NIV.   It reads easy, it's written in a more familiar, present-day way of speaking and I believe it interprets the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek languages with greater and more precise accuracy than any other version I know of.

Obviously, we live in an imperfect world and there exists no Bible that is without fault.   However, the greatest fault of them all, in my opinion, is the downright blasphemous act that every English version I know of has performed ... and that is the absolute removal of the Father's hallowed and sacred name Yahweh, commonly referred to as the Tetragrammaton which simply means "four-lettered word."   If you read the Preface or Introduction of your own Bible, you'll see reference to this act stating something to the effect that YHWH has been replaced with Lord or Adonai.   I implore you to educate yourself further on this matter by reading my essay:

The NIV is not as poor as many others, but it does have some very serious faults.   If you own a New International Version of the Bible, get yourself a fresh cup of coffee, grab your favorite markers or pens and start noting the 213 errors and corrections I have listed below.   It takes a few hours to do this ... but when you are finished, you will have a fully Corrected NIV Bible!

Note: Before we begin with errors that are unique to the NIV, here are three that generally occur in most Bible versions:
General Omissions and Errors
Some Aversions to Recognizing Christ
Some Aversions to Recognizing Heaven

Some Aversions to Jesus' Title of "Lord"
The Title Which Identifies Jesus Christ As God Incarnate.
My Father Changed to The Father
In the Book of John, the NIV blurs the fact that Yahweh, not Joseph, was the Father of Jesus Christ.   In the following four verses my Father is changed to the Father with nothing noted in the NIV footnotes.
Missing Verses
Below is a list of verses in the NIV that are missing in the main body of the text but, in all cases, fully revealed in the footnotes.
