The above Scripture Search Tool will retrieve a range of verses from the King James Version of the Bible. It is currently set to call up Genesis 1:1 ... however, you may select any book of the Bible from the drop-down menu ... then, by entering the Chapter and Verse Range (select any range of verses you like, including a single verse) you can view any portion of Scripture you want. By checking the All Verses box, you can view an entire chapter ... and, further, you can check the box to Show Strong's Numbers(see Concordance Search Tools) and have those for reference in the display as well. Pretty cool, huh?
Once you arrive at your search, you'll see a group of very useful buttons to the left of each verse, that look like this:
These buttons offer you a wonderful set of study tools concerning the verse of scripture you are researching. Here are their functions:
= Knowledge
This button will take the verse in view and reveal other verses in the Bible that make similar statements or ideas. It's a great way to conduct a study of any kind, showing you Scriptures throughout the Bible that reveal more about the key phrases and ideas in that particular verse. More Here
= Concordance
This button will take the verse in view and open up the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, revealing that particular verse with all the original Hebrew and Greek words and reference numbers next to each word in the verse. It will show you the words that were originally penned, and if you click on any word-reference-number, you can study the true intent and meaning(s) implied. This is a very powerful way of learning the true mysteries of God's Word! PS - If you click on any English word there, it will show you every occurance of that word, throughout the entire Bible. = Commentaries
This button will take the verse in view and reveal a new page that looks the same, but has a drop-down menu immediately below your chosen verse. The drop-down menu will open a list of commentaries relating to your particular verse ... select one and see what you may learn from the various teachers. More Here
or = Images, Maps & Hymns
This button will take the verse in view and reveal a new page that looks the same, but has a drop-down menu immediately below your chosen verse. The drop-down menu will open a list of images, maps and/or hymn choices relating to your particular verse. More Here
= Alternate Bible Versions
This button will take the verse in view and open a new page that looks the same, but shows of a list revealing your chosen verse of scripture in ten different variations of Bible interpretations. This is helpful because, although the King James Version is probably the most sound and accurate version of them all, the Old English wording is difficult to understand for many of us. Instead of reading things like verily, verily, I say unto thee, you'll see other versions like truly, I say to you. More Here
= Dictionary Tool
This button will take the verse in view and reveal a new page that looks the same, but has a drop-down menu immediately below your chosen verse. The drop-down menu will open a list of dictionary topics that will take you to related Bible verses - another great way to conduct a Bible study on any particular idea. More Here
