This is my 1968 Gibson Hummingbird 6-string guitar, built in Kalamazoo, Michigan - serial no. 955728. I bought it, brandy new, from Lou-Rose Music in Edison, New Jersey ... I was 20 years old, and it has been my constant companion ever since. This guitar has traveled through 36 of the continental United States with me.

I often put the Hummingbird in a standard tuning, but usually keep it in an open G tuning: G G D G B D ... only I tune it all down a whole step so it's really an Open F tuning.
