A love song, for sure. The scene: Midnight ... Daytona Beach, Florida ... I was going through a divorce and took a trip to Florida to walk on the beach and try to sort things out. While there, I spent some time with an old "flame," Lauren ... but I couldn't get my wife, Karen, out of my heart or off my mind; plain and simple - seeing Lauren didn't help ... at all.

I left and returned to New Jersey ... sat down late one night and wrote this song. It's all about my wife, Karen, and as the lyrics say "she just would not let it be ... oh, no, she could not let it be."

I've re-written this song, it seems, everytime I've played it ... and, somehow, it still doesn't seem finished ... but it is.
