Overdubs by Horvath: Backup Vocals, McSpadden Baritone Dulcimer, Digital Congas (BOSS DR-770)
I had just purchased my McSpadden teardrop dulcimer, and this song came flying out of it the first day I played it. The sound of dulcimers really sends me! I've wanted one for many, many moons ... but the thing just never happened, until 2001.
I added (over-dubbed) the sound of my McSpadden baritone dulcimer to this recording, which has a lower register than the teardrop dulcimer does. Played in unison, they create the full sound of a dulcimer - with the full range of guitar ... the very last strum of the song displays this.
Inspired by my (especially lately) rising concerns over the state of our civilization; species of birds, fish, animals, and plantlife are vanishing daily; it's become dangerous to just go outdoors; prophesies of the Second Coming of Christ are almost all fullfilled; we are at The Door!
To me, this idea is one that is chock-full of hope ... and relief.
The eye has not seen ... the ear has not heard ... the mind of man has not conceived the glory that God has in store for us.
