Track 8 from the Lord of the Rings CD ... here's "9-Fingered Frodo" ... packing his bags after all that's gone down in his life. A touching scene ... full of sentiment and nostalgia. There are many times in my life where I've felt just that way.

Inspired by the chapter titled Many Partings, I finished writing this song after an all night session in "the cabin" ... and, filled with the excitement of the accomplishment (new songs are like babies being born!), I kicked the cabin door open ... walked out, into the woods ... and sang this song to the ears of anything downwind of me - I'll never forget that morning ... and my brother-in-law Richie, looking up to see what all the commotion was.

This song was penned with my 1968 Gibson Hummingbird guitar.
