This song was originally written for Cheryl ...

Ever since I was a young boy I remember thinking how readily people underestimate the Power of Prayer ... this song says to pray "tonight," but I've always prayed at all times of the day - when I rise and feel the excitement of another day filled with possibilities, I can't help but thank God for this wonderful gift of living in such a magnificent world ... and as my day proceeds, I find myself in constant conversation with My Maker -- talking to Him about what's happening around me and inside of me, asking Him to clarify something or to bless someone or to open a door on something.

I wrote this song with the interest of encouraging you to develop your own constant dialog with your Creator ... through your Savior.   After all, without Jesus Christ ... we truly wouldn't have a prayer.

P.S. - I'm using an open D tuning on my 1968 Gibson Hummingbird guitar for this one: D A D F# A D ... but it's tuned down a whole-step, making it C G C E G C instead ... an Open C Tuning.
