Cathy Beyer's Dove of Peace Autoharp
Cathy Beyer visualized the end result of this beauty, had Buck Lumbert chordbars made for it and brought all the elements together.
In Cathy's Own Words:
The body is a vintage OS model B from about 1975. [We say it's] "well used" because it had lots of scratches in the finish, but overall the wood was in good condition and the frame solid.
This year I was inspired to create a Moody Blues 'harp when I learned the backup singer is expecting a baby girl she plans to name "Harper". I just finished the Dove-of-Peace Autoharp and donated it to the Tommy Foundation in Harper's honor. Right now it is on its way to England to get autographed by the Moody Blues. After that, it will be put up on eBay/MissionFish with extras for the Tommy Foundation's Christmas fundraiser.
Since you play rock 'n roll on the Autoharp, I thought you'd enjoy seeing the pictures. I even created a manual for it!
Thank you for introducing me to the more extreme visions of Autoharp customization.
Warmest wishes,
Cathy
