I had just acquired a record deal and a publishing deal with Common Ground Music Group in Nashville, Tennessee ... and was in town for a couple of months, staying in one of the 2nd story offices which had a balcony situated snuggly under the cascading branches of a beautiful Sycamore tree. I enjoyed sitting out on that wonderful balcony late at night, playing my guitar and messing around with song ideas that were dancing around in my head. One night, this song happened.
I had just broken up with a girl back in Jersey and, being away from her for the first time, found myself daydreaming about our relationship and wrote this song.
Five years later, back in New Jersey, I was performing weekly at a club on the main drag in Ridgewood, New Jersey and, one night, in between sets, I was asked to join a couple of business men at a table in the corner ... they explained that they had a video production company and wanted to produce a music video of me performing this song ... and so we did!
Recorded live 1985, at Jimmy Petrillo's Recording Studio, in New Jersey.
Alan Horvath: Vocal | 1968 Gibson Hummingbird Guitar
