In the late 70s
Richie & Friends
use to appear Friday nights
at Charlie's Uncle on Route 18 in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

Alan appeared there ocassionally, jamming with Richie and others ... staying up into the wee hours of the night, talking about life on the road, etc. Shortly afterwards, Alan was in Nashville working on The 'Rings Project and Richie was on the road with Jon Bon Jovi.
